I bought 25l of Rye oil of eBay for £47 delivered I think it was, really don't rate it at all & won't be buying it again, back to oregon next time I think.

Hi, I am really surprised by this, we sell a lot of chain oil and you are the first person that I can remember, who has come out and said they don't rate it or that it doesn't stand up to our competitors.

If there is anything in particular you don't like, let me know I am always open to constructive feedback about our products.

Thanks

Jon

Could be fake . Could be the seller used up his Rye oil and refilled the container with some other crap ?

Hi Jon, I just found it too gloopy & have had to clean my bar, chain & cover a lot more than I do normally. Sheer laziness probably but it does clog up everything more than any other brand I've used. However it has been better on the warmer days but they are few & far between in Pembrokeshire. Nowt wrong with the product, just doesn't suit me. Cheers

I've nearly finished a 40 gallon drum of Rye oil and I'll be ordering another anytime

Definitely increased bar lifetime

We have fifteen years on the clock with Rye oils products and had no issues, the chain oil drum is getting low so will be re ordering.

No worries like I said I am always open to feedback.

I am actually in the process of developing a 100 C/S chain oil that is a bit thinner than our normal spec.

Hopefully this will help people who work in colder parts of the country, also some chainsaw pumps struggle with the thicker oil.

So this may help

Cheers

Hi Jon, that's a good plan. I've noticed the Husky oil being thinner than the Oregon.... certainly pours easier.

Please pop a thread on Arbtalk when you start selling it....

cheers, Steve
