Another mk2 zig zag fail

I find this really scary. I'm an engineer and have worked in the aerospace industry. I personally think there's an issue with the links, probably stress propagation from lazer cut stainless steel is my assumption but I don't work for Petzl and don't know the processes. Don't think they've got the manufacturing process under control or the heat treatment is making them brittle so they fail under fatigue.

Doesn't happen with a piece 10mm beeline.......

Can I still get my zig zags mk1 replaced? A mate gave it to me so I have no receipt

Only if it breaks I think

MK1 they will replace regardless of if its broken. Don't quote me on it but i believe they will replace even without a receipt, you might have to contact Lyon the distributor direct though.
