Can I just clarify the current position. I surrendered my 2510 at the earliest opportunity having opted to receive the temporary loan of a new saw. To date I have still not received the loaner . Am I right in thinking that some of the 280's have now been sent out.

Yeah, had mine for weeks, came a few days after sent the 2510 back, who's the dealer? No excuse for you not to have it yet

Well, for the umpteenth time I contacted All Power Industries (the NZ Echo importer) and asked if they were going to get me the info they promised. Turns out they hadn't even followed up on my request so I went for the refund. A crying shame really but the customer service here is absolutely diabolical. I make that about 6 phone calls, two texts messages, a couple of Facebook messages (their actually landline is hard to find) along with several more the dealer made on my behalf. It's really put me off buying another Echo especially seeing as my Stihl dealer is on the ball every time.

That is a fair comment in my onion. The NZ Importer shud be shot with their own balls of poo.... :thumbup1:

We now have the Sugi bars in 10" dedicated Echo mount for when the new Echo 2511TES comes into play.

That said rumour is they will be fitted with 10" 1/4 .043 sugi bars and chains anyway!

But if you have other smaller Echo saws and want to convert over to 10" 1/4 .043 bars you'll be able to from now on....

Nope! Afraid not - I don't think it is them - somehow Stihl have done something non standard to the drive link on their 1/4 .043 chain so it will only go on Stihl sprocket nose bars...

All the 1/4 .043 different chains will go on all the .043 carving bars though.

Wouldn't it be the other way around, seeing as stihl invented that size chain everyone who follows is non standard! It's a shame that's the case though, although if the sugi chain is decent I'll probably go with that as find a stihl bar on a echo saw looks all wrong

I'll bet the Cannon bars look like they were made for it!
