How was your day?

Hi Steve,

It should be pretty simple for your dealer to tell the difference between Aspen and pump fuel if there was any left in the tank.

Have you ruled out the potential it could have been neat fuel?

Picked up new 461 today. Seems the seizure of the 460 isn't entirely straight forward. I never run it on Aspen, only use that for my topping saws as I had the 460 prior to starting to use Aspen.

Chainsaw mechanic assumed I was using Aspen in it as the fuel didn't look like it had mix in it. All the combi cans have been checked and they all had mix in. The groundsman who filled my saw up on that day said he definetly didn't use Aspen in it.

Even if he had, i'm not sure it would cause a siezure. Bit of a mystery, hey ho

Not 100%. All the cans that were on site that particular day have been checked to make sure mix was added and they all looked ok...but that was a few days after the fact.

Remains a mystery, but im not losing sleep over it...its mildly annoying. I've had 6 years use out of that saw, its never missed a beat and has paid for itself several times over. I'm now the proud owner of a 461, and that will be run solely on Aspen from day 1.

I have one. Gorgeous machine, rubber bushings but very low vibes. Very good on exhausts emissions.

It was Paddy's Day today, didn't bother with the parade and binge drinking this year, went to work instead, cleaning gutters and a road drain.

Had a good day planned, beautiful weather, first outing with the new chipper, large leylandii at the bottom of a steep sloping garden. Use the tractor to drag or carry the stuff up the slope to the waiting chipper. Maybe 2 loads of chip one of logs, priced well, it would have been a great end to a good week financially.

Bang, starter motor on tranny gives up, no way round it, we towed it to the garage for replacement and repair, did some bits and bobs at the yard, then sent the lads home.

Sulked on the sofa for a bit unable to find the motivation to do anything positive.

Only one thing for it.....a drink.
