That's a very reasonable price since it's a twin pack, might treat myself next pay day. I like the Woolpower stuff it's expensive but it will keep you warm.

I think to be honest if its Merino wool it will keep you warm and people won't mind sitting next to you on the way home at the end of the day. Considering all the other layers breath properly too.

I have not used the HH merino but have had other Merino stuff and it was much warmer then a standard smelly helly and doesn't smell bad.

The stuff I had was great (icebreaker) for multi day trips but too warm for most UK tree work and did not last half as long as a the lifa. But then I have black lifa's that are over 20 years old..

I got a couple of them for my Christmas and even after being worn for over a month my dogs still snuggle up to me.........I've told the wife that she can save money by only buying one next time, it should last all year before needing washed/thrown out

I find a good dollop of ethanol based hand sanitiser in the pits pretty much kills any smell for the day. My guess is it sterilises the area of bacteria to such a level that they take a good long while to build back up. Easy to reapply during the day as well. Would you not wear lycra wicking layer and a warmer top layer?
