Very good - impressive finish off the slabbing attachment.

 

Got the slabber working great now. 4.8m x 1.1m ish taking 5 or 6 min per cut and leaving great finish.

I had to shim out the bar one side with some pieces of bean can lid as it was ever so slightly pitched down which was causing a washboard effect and the end of the cut pulling down 5mm deeper than the start.

I think I am going to make a second oiler though for the other end of the bar as think it is slightly under oiled on the big cuts.

That's quite a reasonable cut rate too. I think that the double ended chainsaw is a bit quicker (possibly 4 minutes for a cut like that) but you hang on for dear life. It's no fun.

 

Good job on aligning the bar too - that is what us bandsaw operatives have to do all the time. Even the most minute alignment variation causes a dodgy cut.

 

Extra oiler is certainly no bad thing.
