Did one cube of leylandi with Fiskars x25 this afternoon after a nice early work finish - got a sweat on 👍

normally give it away or swap for homemade wine, but trying to bulk up next years stock due to increased demand. Will mix in with hardwood for customers and burn ourselves

Leylandii burns great when it’s well seasoned!

Can't really see it in the photo, 1m wide oak, which isn't really that common to see round here for firewood.

Full of nails, and will be burnt in the house about 50yds away from where the tree once grew

Loving the tracked dumper conversion. What’s the flow like?

keep thinking about mounting my splitter on the Sherpa. But it’s an 18t splitter and 20l/min flow. Doesn’t sound like a good combo.

You won’t know till you try the results can be surprising

Just tried and you're right. Marginally slower than my 30l/min beaver pack, but marginally more pressure which I'd say makes it better overall.

Thinking about it logically, that would be what you'd expect seeing as both machines use a GX390 engine.

What about one of those dohicky valves if you have low flow but high pressure?

They take the oil displaced from the other side of the ram & add it to the pressure side to increase no load speed. As it hits the wood is shuts & you get full power. It gives you fast return speeds & fast out till it touches log speeds.

Off to google correct name.

This video explains why it works due to the higher pressure in the rod side than the piston side.#

This video (if you under stand hindi) shows the flow to make the cylinder faster.

Still cant find the correct name :(

Yes that's what I've got sort of but it's not really needed.

It has 2 forward positions, one is normal, one is high speed with the recycling. And the reverse clicks in and holds if you want it to.
