The recession caught up with me, I know the recession actually happened in 2008, but that was actually my best ever year and it took 2 years for things to go bad.

 

Back then I had more LA work than I could cope with and my pick of domestic work, there were very few tree surgeons and money was really good, you rarely saw chippers.

 

Now everyones a tree surgeon and many seem to want to work for peanuts, I'm one of the dearest in my area, but I'm charging less than I did 8 years ago.

 

Same happened to me around the same time I was running 3 landrovers, 3 tractors and had 2 lads working for me then it all caught up to me plus being burgled when underinsured so I couldn't replace the kit meant it all went in a very short time, fingers crossed it looks like this year is finally improving.
