Anyone bought one of these Alaskan MILL Chainsaw Milling Attachment 3 Sizes Available Planking Lumber | eBay

 

Made by a company that specialises in aluminium and looks to be an exact copy of the alskans'.

I am fairly sure that these are Chinese. I have been offered them from a Chinese company. Maybe worth emailing them and asking them if they are manufactured in the UK or not.

That looks like a few breeches of some patents there. Next time I am taking back or picking up my daughter from uni in Aberdeen I might take an extra wee trip to see them.

Might be worth a run up the road as only an hour away from me. But does look like a copy to me and not sure how it would hold up

On their web-site, it says that they have set up their own aluminium factory in China to be able to guarantee quality, so they may not be too bad for occasional usage.

 

Might order one to see what they are like, can always send it back.

Out of curiosity just bought the 48 inch version, looks like a good clone/copy. At first glance quality seems OK.

How much cheaper are they than the Alaskan equivalent? Be interested to hear how it performs. Cheers

I have ordered the 36" model. Unless it is made of tinfoil, I can't see there being too much to go wrong. I know you get what you pay for etc etc, but I have always thought that the alaskans seem a little over priced for a few bits of metal and some brackets, just my humble

I bought a Chinese pneumatic semi automatic cross cut machine. Designed to cut timber in a joinery shop. We stuff the mouth full of timber and fitted it with a conveyor. It has run flat out at least 1 day a week for the last five years and never missed a beat. Got through dozens of blades and a few drive belts. Not all Chinese stuff is rubbish just most of it
