Chunky tree Dave, another victim of recent massive rainfall no doubt.

Did you try and keep the crown reasonably balanced during the dismantle?

 

Very chunky, how old, looks around 250 years, how many cube?

What was the height of the tree? it was certainly chunky.

Around 75ft I would think Rich, but as wide as it was tall, not one you would have felled without removing the lower crown first.

No, I did genuinely think I would need to keep nibbling all round to keep it stable, which I did to begin with, but it soon became apparent that it was not moving much and the bits got bigger :biggrin:

Yes, just me and him these days :thumbup1: its great :001_smile:

 

He's really mastered ground work now, he has his units up to 38, I need to start booking some half day jobs in for a day and get him up some trees cutting :001_cool:

Dave that is so cool....i have worked with my son on a few occassions and it has been some of the most memorable milestone moments in my life....bring him along to the next Arbshow/APF....would be great to meet him.
