Spare part online

Hi All

We are thinking about doing spare parts online, we believe this will be good addition to our website. Please can you let us know either way what you all think as it will be a big investment to get it sorted and need to know how many people would be interested in using it.

It will be easy to use and will contain all the breakdowns of each machine like below.

Your feedback is important on this one as it will help us in the decision on whether to push forward to it or not.

That would be wonderful if the parts diagrams were there for the finding and ordering proses. Parts list detail is "Sketchy" at best for one German make ..unless you happen to be a dealer !!. Payment by Paypal would be good as i wouldn't personally be ok with card transactions unless on the phone to the company. Overall ..excellent thing to have available.

What would the postage situation be Justin?

It would be an awesome resource to add to your site and even if postage on 1 screw puts people off using it I think it would still draw traffic in, worth the effort I reckon

I already order small parts from them over the 'phone, the 4.75+VAT carriage is far less than my time driving to a local dealer, I often receive them the next day.

Seeing parts and prices online, even if this required a login, would speed things up and make deciding whether to repair with OEM, pattern parts or scrap the machine easier.

Justin, do your research carefully as it's easy to get spare parts for the domestic side. More professional brands especially Husqvarna/Echo (a brand on the up!) are very tricky. Also toro mowers are mostly main dealer order. Pick the right brands your on to a winner!

Professional consumables like belts for Kubota/Iseki mowers genuine parts would be useful too.

I order Husqvarna parts from Ireland, toro at my local dealer (2/3 weeks wait)

Everything eventually breaks so spares is a no brainer 👍🏻

I agreed. A reasonable charge for packaging, someones time for packaging and them sending you some bits. Perhaps a standard post option for small items you can get in a envelope, brake bands, springs, etc would be possible.
