Swarovski are probably the best Bino's on the market. When you test most other makes against them, the brightness (and consequently low light capability) is phenomenal.

But they are pricey!!

Obviously Swarovski are the mutts nuts but if we are talking £200 they are out of reach, but £200 should get a very decent pair of binos.

Hi i have a pair of carl zeiss 12 x 50 very good binoculars , but very expensive also quite heavy if holding for a long time ,i have a binocular rest that clips on to the land rover window the clamp is only about £50.

i have Hertel & Reuss, 8x30 - been using them for over 30yrs now, excellent quality and robust. have been well bashed but are still fully aligned. 8x30 best size for general purpose and for spotting. check out RSPB for best info.
