Hello all,Since im grounded just now, weathers horrendous in scotland right now,i was wondering whats the worst thing you've done too your rope and still climbed on it.

Ive seen lots of rope abuse, pulling tops of,lowering on the end of your climbing rope, pulling chippers out of seriously deep mud, nicks with silkys just to name a few, funnily enough most of this abuse has been in the subbie work ive been involved in.

Im not guilty of all of the above but i admit ive cut some corners to get the job done on time.:blushing:

Anyone else guilty of rope abuse...?

Amazing what you can do with old climbing lines that fail loler, our pull line (ex climbing line) often happily pulls transit and chipper when it gets stuck in grass /light mud, and hasn't broken yet. Shows how strong they really are!

Makes you wonder why it failed loler if it can still pull chippers about..
