Customers who drag payment out

If you don't have the confidence to ask a customer if they're happy, that's a big problem that would be worth fixing!

I get your point Nick, but often the client has little idea what a well pruned tree looks like. By asking "Are you happy with that" SOME seem to think your asking because its does not look great, but you hope it will do.

I've found myself back up the tree hacking it to what they think looks good or at least value for money:001_rolleyes:

However, when I say "Thats come out well" or "That looks great now", it seems to give them the confidence they need to feel happy :001_smile:

Dave, know what you mean and I've had more than my share of discussions with customers about whether enough has come off. it's tricky for sure! If you can accurately gauge how much of a hammering they want the tree to have it makes the work a lot quicker by removing any doubt. You know yourself a good chat with the client before a job can save a lot of time later. I find a proper good clean-up that includes the whole property and not just our mess also makes most trees look a whole lot better to the customer!

For sure!!!!, I've had far more complements over the years for our clean ups, than I have for the work.

Have you been paid yet Simon ??

The woman i was ranting on about has coughed up yes, cheque in the business name so barclays will charge me, despite asking for it in my name!

Some people either go out of their way to be arseholes or are genuinely dumb!
