Ever Wish You'd Picked a Different Avatar?

Its a 21st century phenomenon.

 

- How we mentally associate people with funny little pictures that somehow become that person and reflect their personality.

 

If I ever met Felix IRL (in real life) I'd probably experience a moment of disconnect that he isn't a cartoon cat. Whenever I read posts by Eggs or Stubby, I hear a moped talking, or a spaniel. It weird, but feels natural....

 

So when our avatar is born, we're kind of stuck with it really, like genetics.....

 

But do our avatars truly reflect who we are? That's what Im wondering this morning...is the choice of avatar an unconscious revelation of our primal core, or is it most times just a random drop and click??

 

I was just thinking that Leatherface from the Texas Chain Saw Massacre doesn't really represent me at all, Im nothing like him.....or maybe...I am?

 

Would you feel betrayed if someone changed their avatar? Wouldn't it be like...if a mate had an overnight gender change and religious conversion and also changed his skin and hair colour...

I'm happy with mine as it's me and my boy infant of me truck nd that's exactly who I am, family and work.

I know what you mean, silky fox constantly changes his which can confuse sometimes as I tend to recognise without really seeing who's talking from the picture.
