We all know some jobs are very enjoyable, and some aren't, but what's your favourite job within the tree game?

Usual flippant crap welcome (Newton), like smoking tabs in the truck when it's lashing down, etc.

I've always enjoyed chogging stems down into a decent drop zone.

The brash is off, the greenhouse and BT line are intact, basically the battle is won and you can almost taste the BACS transfer.

What's yours?

Okay then:

When I finish what I'm doing in the tree, come down, and the only thing left on the deck is a fresh coffee.

When I can fell 6' lumps out instead of chogging/blocking

Or just when the client has a really nice bum.

I have recently taken a lot of pride in offering and completing "the whole job" for example felling a tree grinding the stump and replanting. I offer replanting as a matter of course now, like to think maybe I am sustaining the job for the next generation! Not that I purposely plant the wrong species in the wrong location of course!

Good question, I think it's that point in the job when you know for sure you can get it done in the time allotted.

Maybe mid afternoon, trunk ringed up and off site, I'll be doing a chip run whilst the others are doing the final rake, and I'm looking forward to a stolen hour dozing on the sofa before washing up the mugs and looking busy as the wife pulls up the drive. Plus a nice cheque stuck on the fridge door with a magnet....bliss
