did a mucky and wet job a couple of weeks ago and my climbing rope got soaked!

not used my kit since then and its been sitting in my kit bag , noticed when i took it out today it was still a little damp with bits of mold on it.

will be climbing next week and looking for advice on what to do when your rope gets moldy?

I don't get the pillow case thing, that's just going to keep any muck in the pillow case (on the tope) which kind of defeats most of the objective.

Just wash it, I have been washing ropes for decades with nothing more sophisticated than whatever soap was under the kitchen sink

The pillow case thing is to stop direct contact with the drum birch does get hot

I would always suggest the proper rope wash sold by most good arb supplies

Less than 50 per wash
