I have CS30-31-38-39, full clean driving licence with B+E, own pick up truck, Chipper ticket, own full climbing kit and own saws. PM on here or give me a ring 07818555862 Cheers, Sam
2. how does the tube liner stand up to being chipped onto?
3. hi guys, quick one. im currently a one man band and im wanting to get myself a wee chipper and join the club. at the moment im using a double cab Dmax and plan to get a trailer to carry the chipper/extra chip/logs but my worry is leave it unattended. what security are you guys using/recommend? im thinking either a CS100 or an M400/500
4. ive been looking at which one of those two to get. that set up with either of them two would be a very slick system for sure
5. i got it the other week, only used it once so far. using it with a zigzag and multisaver. was using Tachyon before. even with only one days use so far i highly rate the rope and its a great price for the lengh you get. it feels thinner in the hand compared to Tach even tho its ment to be 11.8 and the tach is 11.5 but that wasnt an issue. it selftends and runs in the ZZ like a dream, no complaints here
6. Hi guys im a self employed arborist located in Bishop Auckland County Durham. Climber or groundsman. i have cs30-31-38-39 and a full clean driving licence with B+E. looking to make more contacts. message me with any question
7. Hi my name is Sam, 28 years old. Located in Bishop Auckland but will travel within reason. tickets held - cs30-31-38-39 Own PPE, Climbing kit and saws For more info message me on here, email is [email protected] or phone 078 18555862
8. This mite have been brought up before but i couldnt find anything. Something that i was thinking about the other day while climbing for a local company. Where do you as a subbie draw the line between making money and doing the right thing for the tree? I studied as an arborist and work for many high standard arborists but i still need to make a living and fill in my open days.
9. Sadly you can still hear the chipper and saws being used by someone. Its not that bad as you can still hear the voice over the surround noise. If you are wanting noise cancelation like what peltor and msa offer, you will be looking at alot more money per headset. One issue i knoticed today from a climbers point of view, it is easy to nock the button on the side and change channels
10. They are very good! No longer having to shout "WHAT?!" At each other. Made my time in the MEWP very easy, could focus on the task in hand and not spend more time keeping a look out to see if i was being shouted at.
11. Really nice looking boot. Looking to get a new pair but need to see some review first. Wish they did orange ones, now that would have been a good colour choice
12. What the others said. Put it in a pillow case and put it on the washing machine. My xtc scortch turned brown a while back after i left it in my bag over the weekend. Best to make sure you hang it up over night to air and dry next time it gets wet
13. Theres loads of thread about this. Just search this forum or google it. You will find loads
14. I was talking about the TB pullysaver. Not a fan of the ART one. Yea Paul i have used blue tongue. Its the joy of working at Dryad, i get to play with loads of Johns kit.
15. Just round the corner from me and i have never been! Need to make a trip there sometime. But i would neve take any of my gear there for work/service to be done. Heard many stories about how s*it they now are
16. I dont own either but have used both. I would suggest the ZZ, its what i will be getting once i move from the hitch climber. If you do go forward and get the ZZ, i highly suggest running it with a pullysaver and tachion rope, it self tends perfectly and works so much better than the blue tongue.
17. So, dead? High? Fired? Ran off? Bored of talking? Place your bets now!!
18. i use Stihl Hi-Flex and the new Stihl X-Flex both in C and they are spot on. Have tried the Breath-flex, which were way too tight or too big.
19. bumping this up. still looking for additional work and contacts.
20.
Hi John, i cant PM you for some reason. I want to talk to you about making a pully saver. Cheers.
