When is it too late to change careers?

Does anyone have any use for a part qualified arborist with some tickets and a will to learn. Available full time from 1st October 2016. Will come saws and climbing kit.

In fact - would anyone take on an older apprentice? I could do 1 maybe 2 years of shocking money in return for a good grounding and lots of experience

Only 1 or 2 years of shocking money? If you stop in this job shocking money is for life!

Go for it mate.

Age is just a number.

I didn't even kick a ball till I was 63, but with the right attitude I've made it to the top.

Yours sincerely,

H. Kane

Blimey - Wednesday morning and its not even half way through 38! I ache in places I never knew could ache and I have a pressure point on my right thigh - I guess its from my harness

Loving it though - about 75' up a beech yesterday.

I find it a bit weird at the mo, I'm really happy on my main line, but feel less confident on changeovers when just hooked onto my short line. I suspect full confidence comes in time?

A degree of uneasiness is no bad thing, it's your last line of defence, check your knots and attachements regularly.

It's normal to be nervous. It means your brain is working properly.

Spiking and pole rescue today. Awesome stuff. It pissed it at least half of the day and I still came out smiling.

Kits in airing cupboard drying out. Tomorrow is climber rescue, practice for assessment and playing about with shiny stuff. Living the dream.
