When is it too late to change careers?

Just do it. Get whatever tickets you can and crack on. I was lucky to get a redundancy to make the transition easier but I was going to go regardless. It's why it's taken so long as I had to wait for all that to be processed.

Getting plans in place for the new year now

Yep, got my CS30 and other training in the pipeline, and have all sorts of feelers out. Just trying to weigh up if I can manage self employed in the South East, after a relatively 'safe' ten years in the health service. At least I don't have a mortgage but I do have debts to pay and a dog to feed.

Anyway, gotta go to work now.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
