Very aggressive feed capacity, they almost cut side branches off as they grab hold, tried all the speed settings and like the sticker says 4 - 5 is best for dragging stuff in.

The way they open in a slite ark forwards also helps them climb onto timber or over forks to then crush them, couldn't belive how well it delta with some big twisty pine branches today.

is it an st8 0r t6, cant see on the pic

Well after much deliberation and a few demos the decision was easy in the end and today it landed in the yard and was promptly attached to the Rd and off to a few jobs to test on a few different trees.

Apart from not being quite the rite shade of orange all I can say is its a reet beast of a machine!

Thanks to Craig at Redwood for promptly answering any questions I had and getting the deal sorted and the machine delivered.

Going to be grinning like a kid for quite a while watching it's awesome feeding force and capabilities on branchy twisty stuff.

:-D 👍

Those feed rollers look very aggressive! I bet it pulls it through well

I did a 'side by side' comparison on Monday. My old A540 against a new ST8 and we all found that the A540 grabs logs over 6" much much more easily than the Forst.

Checked the Forst and everything was set up correctly.

'Twas a real surprise to us all. I bought a new A540!

Oh and just to be clear, we were chipping Thuja, Cedar, Cypress, Lime and Sycamore. Once the wood was in the rollers it was fine it's just harder work to feed than the Jensen. (Jensen also has some better design improvements)

Sorry. :laugh1::laugh1:

Bought a low hrs used one eight weeks ago and the lads love it.

We have had a couple of issues with it but Simon in the service department has been great to deal with. One of the axles is causing excessive tyre wear, phoned him, sent a couple of photos and a new one is winging its way to us.
