Some people with a full bike license sent them off for renewal and they came ack with no bike entitlement at all . One of these was a bike cop !

My trailer code has been removed on my new license,but is still on the original paper one :-) trying to raise more revenue I think.

No bike symbol at all on back of my licence, does have the car and trailer thankfully.

Probably because that came with grandfather rights on your pre 97 car test . You still get the full benefit of your C+E test taken later so no real restriction.

I am a bit worried about changing my license. I don't have the 107 restriction on my old license. I have copied it a few times and am about to apply for a new photo card license.

 

Any suggestions to ensure I don't lose any of my entitlements?

Yes, it's because C1E gained through grandfather rights has a lower max gross weight than C1E gained by taking a test. Your CE of course trumps the C1E(107) as long as you maintain the full HGV, so it is only an issue if one day you allow the HGV to lapse by not renewing it when your 5-yearly medical renewals are due. In this case you'll lose the CE but still have the C1E(107).

Its not rare to acquire a full bike licence. Its a bonus. It cropped up with a few HGV drivers on the cpc course.

No, it just means you're entitled to ride a bike after completing the motorcycle theory and both mod1 and mod2. It doesn't mean you have the licence for it
