Struggling to get the clutch off my 550

Its a lefthanded thread . I find if you make sure the decomp is poped out fully , with a aluminium or copper drift and a mallet a couple of sharp taps and it spins off . Compression is usually enough I find . There will be some little indicators / arrows for direction to spin off and some little flats to rest the drift on .

Pater noster qui es in caelis , sanctificetor nomen tuum.

Something like that.

Cheers for the replies, don't worry I have been trying to get it off the right way but it sounds like mine might be a little more wedged than normal, I've given it squirt of gt85 for now in the hopes that it'll help when I come back to it

As above, but clutch removal tools are the kiddie, and only cost about £6.

Mark, where might I find one? Do you mean the pronged jobbies with a bolt head so you can get a socket on it?

That's the one mate.

Sorry Joe, I'd left my tartan blanket over my knees for my nap and woke up feeling a bit hot and cranky.

Mick at FR Jones sorted one for me, but I'm sure all the sponsored dealers on here and many others supply them as well.
