Creosote never stopped being sold it was only restricted to trade/farmers.

We buy 205lt barrels and are in the process of making a heater tank to warm it up.[/quote

If I ever need an odd few posts for a rush job, or something that doesn't need to be too pretty, I bob down to a wood we fenced and planted back in 1992-3. All the wire's gone, but the creosote pressure-treated posts are all still there, many good enough to be used again. Quick brush down and a coat of Bird Brand, and we're good to go.

Creocote is really not much more than a colouring - I've done a few sheds with it when client wants it, but usually needs doing again within three years.

Stock creosote and you'll sell plenty.:thumbup1:

When you do could you PM the prices through please. I am cutting a load of new fencing on the mill at the moment and wondering if should dip the lot in creosote prior to installing. The only posts in this place that are still good after being here 30+ years are the old sleepers and telegraph poles I originally put in. All the supposed " new treated guaranteed junk" has failed at around the 5 year mark.
