Lancashire CC to charge for tipping Diy waste

I can't work out why they are charging for inert waste which is being recycled into a product which they make money out of. I also don't understand why council tips can't put a weighbridge in with tickets that can be used by commercial operators thus making money for the council like private waste management companies do. The money they make could be ploughed back into public services or is that to sensible.

Ours does

Lancs cc do take the mick really. They get £900 a year from my council tax ( I know friends who pay a lot more ) all home refuse is collected by the borough council, and have been told many times my bins are too heavy! So they've been left. They have to pull it half a yard to put it on the hydraulic lift! Anyway as regards to the county tip sites they've closed two of my closest and are thinking of closing another it takes the pish and now they want to charge for a bit of crap from house! Not happy!

That would be far too sensible.

Funny how the Arbtalk 'Tory boys' are very quiet on this thread!

It is Cameron's fault.

There is more waste to dispose of now the country has got back off it's arse.

Surely there would be less domestic waste if we are at work (paying more tax) all day.
