Grinding some stumps with the bigboy! Pictures from last year during a video sesion. Herder-Fermex SC-800H, suitable for tractors between 180 and 250 HP.

Amazing reach on that, bet it can bounce a bit if you overbight on the cut.

If the machine is properly supported on its support legs there is hardly change of bouncing. This is due to a combination of; high weight of the arm incl. cutting head, the high swing mass of the (big diameter) cutting wheel and the high torque/horse power on the cutting wheel.

What you don’t want to see sticking out of a stump when grinding!

 

gave me a bit of a scare but it was a short 6 inch section right in the middle of a horrible lime 6ft across, left a bit too high by the chainsaw. Two feet above ground to two below, bricks, concrete, roof tiles etc. 8 builders bags of arisings and took double the time I expected ☹️
