Couple of fencers near me have, 'Yes please one sugar' on the back of their polo shirts, makes me smile every time I see them.

"Hi there, we're about to stop for a break, any chance of a cuppa?" Works just fine. Polite, and it'd take a real knob of a client to say no!

We usually get offered though.

I remember one lady who said: "oh, okay, but I've only got instant coffee...

And no sugar...

...or milk."

Of course I'd already asked, so I was stuck with it then, tasted like it was from a water butt!

Upon arrival at job do the usual. Checks of what were doing. Then ask them what time the kettle boils usually get one strait away. Or for the tight arse customers that dont make one get the Kelly kettle out and make one in full view of the house drastic measure but usually ensures day two is laden with coffee.
