Anyone not paid the DART crossing fee?

I paid for two crossings and still got fined! I sent them the receipts and they canceled the fine, but said to make sure I get the correct registration. There is no registration printed on the online receipt they give you which is not very helpful

Crossed and forgot to pay in a rental van about 4 weeks ago, then somehow managed to do the same thing last weekend in my car.

Is it a straight £75 fine?

Anyone else not paid and been fined?

I hope there aren't too many French children going hungry due to my negligence :sneaky2: ....

Hi Matt have you got my pm mate thanks Jon

Is there a site to check for outstanding amounts? When i have paid in the past it has been a case of entering reg and paying.

Not a desperate site the check but on the official dart charge site there was a box under a sub heading where you could enter the reg and pay for previous crossings. When I did this it came back with nothing. I was going to call them to check but forgot in the end and as nothing came through the post thought I would let sleeping dogs lie!

I forgot to pay, and it did take a while for the penalty notice to come through. This was soon after it when online. So when i got the penalty it said because its new, all i had to do was pay for the crossing that i had forgotton to pay for in the first place. Result!

You can pay afterwards but the easiest thing is to set up an account, on which you can register as many vehicles as you like, and have DART take the money automatically via ANPR. When your account balance drops below £10 DART auto topup from your bank account with a minimum £10. It's just like Oyster in that respect.
