What part of the government won’t allow companies to use in house fitters?

Unless you are on a some kind of bonus scheme that can be stopped if you break something until it’s paid back he can’t make you pay for it from your main wages.
That’s got employment tribunal written all over it
It would have to be part of the written contract too.

I work for the MOD and they try to run the camp on a shoe string. It's completely ridiculous I'm close to handing in my notice if it persists.

It is written Into my contract that If I damaged equipment and it is seen to be be negligent I am liable to be charged.

Acas a company who offer free employment advice have said that if he is successful in having me charged he can only charge me enough to drop my pay onto minimum wage... 20p per hour. So could take a while to recover his money...

Full of idiots especially where I work. Here is just 1 example from today.

We have a 12 strong maintenance team 4 of us share the tree work, I have got climbing qualifications and more experienced than the rest. All the rest only have felling and cross cutting really basic stuff.
We had some pretty bad wind damaged stuff large branches hung up high. Instead of asking me to go and have a look. The boss thought it would be better for the less experienced lads to sort it and gain some experience?

I agree in 1 aspect that they could do with some experience but being thrown in at the deap end wont help

Do you work for a company that shares it's name with a popular Islamic political movement by any chance? :P
