Fings wot broke

Recommended Posts

My Ranger put on EML and ABS/ESB lights so wouldn't MOT! Booked it in and used the spare Ranger, MOT due on that and it failed with a busted spring. True to form, idiots at Ford in Loughborough delivered a spring without a bush, they couldn't be bothered to deliver bush until next day and even then asked if I would wait!!! Paul Roberts in the garage sorted it out in time for me to swap over to mine which was parked due to warning of imminent destruction and big bills!

Mine goes in and the very expensive ABS repair ("we'll have to replace the module") and is broken speed sensor, the "injection issue which will be a grand plus easy!", was a program update! Big Ford dealership don't get my vote! Passed the MOT but asked to get two tyres sorted.

Thanks Shepshed Ford!

Sandicliffe in Loughborough and Bristol Street in Redditch aren't worth going to!

Shame on you lot, found this thread two pages back

Sorry Bob. Did break the processor in the interim but not an interesting fix.

A little hydraulic leak, due to the side anvil mounting plate shearing off last year. The dent in the casing, which was okay back then, cracked last week. Not a difficult mend, apart from the dismantling involved to get to it.

Dropped the 200 out the tree today! Did a lazy cut on a sycamore with no undercut, one handing, branch sprang like a loon twatted the saw out my hand, something battered my hand, tool attachment on harness broke. Looks ok just bent bar and chain. Happened surprisingly fast!20180423_152657.jpg

Doesn’t look too bad - my lads have brought them back from jobs looking like that apparently without having a crash!...

Do you ever get a feeling that the thought is 'well he's sat in the office doing nuffin, so mending stuff gives him something to do'

Not so much broke as routine maintenance.

New rotor bearings in the ST8.

So far so good.....

Really? How many hours has it got on? I would expect at least a 1000 min before bearings needed doing!
