Its well worth going for the HD thrust bearing carrier as well, those plastic ones melt in heavy traffic :thumbdown:FTC5200HD | Clutch release bearing - Heavy Duty - Paddock Spares

 

And as mentioned the HD clutch arm Heavy-Duty Clutch Release Arm Kit - Britpart FTC2957HD at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

 

The clutch itself gives few problems , its one of these two pieces that let go normally.

We've had loads of those single Ifor springs fail Bob, they're crap imo. Once the bump stop breaks off they snap for fun! I always replace them with the double leaf springs off the 3.5tonne trailers now and we haven't had a problem since.

 

Those barrel pumps are good too, but don't seem to last long pumping super thick chain oil unfortunately.

 

That sounds like a good Idea, I have already ordered the single leaf but when that breaks it can have the conversion.:thumbup1:

I don't know how many miles that clutch had done. It's the selector fork that'd gone. Not sure what make the replacement will be, what's good?

 

Selector fork went in my LR as well, French garage charged 11 hours labour to replace it.

What's good you ask? Toyota/Nissan/Mitzi/Ranger.

Thanks Bob, I'll get the lot done. The truck is a good 'un so with investing in.

 

The thing is Mick whatever you run in this kind of with will get a hard life and need bits replacing... But you hear dramas about all these vehicles, especially the newer ones!
