Magnetic van signs

What are people's thoughts on magnetic van signs? I've never had to bother sign writing a van before, most of my work is subbing to other companies, just lately I've been doing more domestic work (sick of all the traveling when subbing). I think it looks poor turning upto domestic customers houses with a van that is not signed up, on the other hand i don't want to loose the local subbing by getting my van done, none of the companies want me on their jobs with my own company name on my van. So, it's magnetic signs or nowt.

Do you lot think they look rubbish and would go 'Bare back' or do the magnetic signs look ok? To tell you the truth I've never noticed if someone had magnetic signs on or not, not that I've ever looked too hard mind.

Opinions please.

Most of the ones I see Egg are so small you cannot read it as the vehicle passes you. I also remember a few people on here stating that condensation builds up between your panel and the magnetic sign and can lead to rust.

We have had these signs for just over a year and a half. They have been great. When not using the van for work you just take them off.

Not had anyone trying to nick them. Also at shows/jobs you can move them around for max exposure!

Or if you really want to impress the firms you sub for get magnetic covers with their details on....

That would make things 'A dear do'. Sign write the van then get three lots of magnetics signs........ I do like the idea though. Infact maybe, just maybe! I could talk them round to going halves with me to get some magnetic signs with their info on.
