Managed to do this to my self today. I was out on the end of a branch when the branch i was standing on snapped and as i fell into the fork the saw swung into my hand which was attatched to the side of my harness. Got to say i was amazed how much blood there was! anyway off to A+E and 4 stitches and some sticky strips and i was back at work.

What really impressed me though was that my groundie was brilliant!! he only passed his cs38/39 on friday and was dealing with this today! We always put an extra line in on big trees and as soon as i said id cut myself badly hed got the first aid ready got his harness on just incase and had also got the hospital on the phone just incase. Once id gone to hospital he sorted the site out and got all my gear out the tree and hes only 19!!
