Never did fancy the idea of an elasticated handsaw strop. It would have a tendency to get trapped and I don't fancy being carved up by a silky springing back at you.

Saw pod is an option.

I just clip the scabbard to my harness and try not to drop the silky.

Easy cheap effective way. Crab the scabbard to harness. Then use starter cord attached between the handle of Silky and the scabbard.

Using elastic cord is just stupid. Hello Silky to the face when that pings back at you!

Not stupid at all , by the time it has 2 crabs attached and the silky there is no HELLO SILKY TO THE FACE !

Works well with very little if none spring effect just coils up when not in use .

Try it first before you say its STUPID

LOL

I've just had a quick look through some of the threads about the saw pod, looks like it could be the answer for me, the only time I feel like I might drop it is getting it in and out of the sheath. Although I don't fancy spending the money just yet so I might bodge something out of some old knee pad straps just to see if I like it. Some good ideas on here though!
