Steve, Not sure if you have access to this type of mattress, however I can vouch that my sleep number bed by select comfort has been the absolute best mattress for the money.

The first night to the present has been great nights sleep. The mattress is adjustable and once you know your sleep number your set, of course it is adjustable for all body types and weights. Yep. I bought one years ago and two Tempur pillows.

Money well spent.

Looked at the Tempur but the price put me off. If it doesn't go bang or have an engine I resent paying through the nose (paint, wallpaper, bathroom suites, mattresses, carpet, all boring).

 

I ended up buying a cheaper make from ebay which arrived in a shrink wrapped roll to my puzzlement. Once unwrapped it unravelled and took a day or so to 'plump up'.

 

Took some getting used to and like someone else said, you don't move much in the night as you tend to sink into it and get 'wedged' in a you shaped groove.

 

I haven't had the yearly sciatica in the last few years, and generally sleep well. I don't find it hot.

 

When I can be bothered to get off my bottom I'll find out what brand it is and update you.

Yes Steve buy one they brilliant we have a king size not sure on the model ours have the squares on the top I think it like a extra layer we have had it about six years and it's still as firm as when we first got it. Before we had it we had a cheap memory foam and after about a year it lost its firmness and all you end up doing me and the wife was rolling into the middle of the matress where it went soft.
