Two very good choices there.

Well, three including the Ikea.

Gear-wise I use an ex-army deployment bag, as I prefer the hold all style for access to kit, but it converts into a rucksack for longer hauls.

Cheap as well, about £25.

Rope-wise I'm after something new myself, so will follow this with interest.

Rigging line lives in a Gorilla tub on and off site.

All of the guys at work use the silver bull kit bags and they last well, they've also got shoulder straps which help if you've got a long walk into the woods. They ain't cheap bit worth it IMO

For ropes we've just brought a few of the petzl bags and they are holding up well. Both bags were from honey's

The petzl ones aren't to bad quite hard wearing and if you need to trek about it fits just like a backpack that's what we use but in all honesty those deployment bags are the best, cheap heard wearing and can wear it like a back pack if needed. Theirs nothing more annoying than needing something thats in the bottom of this Petzl bag and then having to remove most of my kit to get it

Haglöfs vulcan 60quid 4years ago, still like new, waterproof, easy access, very tough, removable shoulder straps.

I have had full climbing kit, inc rope, saw pants, boots, 020, helmet ect in no problem. Normally just have harness, spikes, helmet, spare crabs n pulleys, flip lines and pruning saws in though. Ropes in the cheap stien blue kit bags-one rope per bag. Works nicely.
