installing a log burner in a conservatory

I have decided to install a log burner in my conservatory since I have no where else to put it, and reading online it appears that its a good idea as they are hard to heat anyway.

it involves punching through a polycarbonate roof, up the back of the house, and then round the soffitts to leave it 1.5m above gutter.

asked a local bloke to quote, but I got fed up with chasing him up, another guy couldnt even look untilmthe end of feb, and the third hasnt rung back.

so how hard can it be to install? I went to the stove supplier, he has listed and priced everything I need including the 12kw stove.

the only query he said was it needs to be signed off by the council.

so what do I need to watch out for?

and I should add, that I am not planning on selling the house, so if it doesent bet signed off, does it matter?

I have a friend who is a stove installer ( he helped me with mine ) and he is putting more and more stoves into conservatory's because you cant add a radiator from the main central heating with out planning but you can put a stove in .
