Timing advanced, exhaust modified, and cylinder ported. Your saw has nothing on that Echo, son.

I'm sure that's true. However that vid is meaningless until we see it in some wood :)

Not sure anyone can make a valid comment/criticism without first hand experience and you certainly can't just cause you read some numbers on a piece of paper!

:thumbup1:

Niko can honestly say that he has never, ever, in his life ran an Echo chainsaw.

Nor ever will. That would be sacrilege.

One of our guys uses an Echo top handle.

The other guys like to borrow it and aside from the annoyingly small fuel cap it's well recieved with us.

The chipper saw is an Echo, very quiet on tickover and easy to start.

anyone used the 280 wes much? looks a good carving saw but bit worried its actually a home user plastic joke.

I do not use them, but I do sell them.

It is a well engineered, well put together saw. Its definatly not a plastic joke.

Neither should it be a joke at an RRP of £319 inc vat. It carries the normal echo 2yr commercial warranty and 5 yr domestic warranty.

A few more cc than the Stihl 150, 0.3kg heavier, loads more warranty and £84 cheaper at RRP.

I don't really care what brand a saw is, Stihl, Husky, Echo, Dolmar, Oleo Mac, Pioneer, etc. I am more interested in particular models that i know to be good and well proven and that is why i choose run Husky, Stihl and Echo as they all make some crap models and they all make some good models. I pick and choose and i'm generally happy with what i get, no brand snobbery here. I hope Sawtroll does not try any other brands as he may well stop moaning and attention seeking, and i do like to see him moan.

Certainly no joke!

Use one daily for 6 months now. Got better over the first month or so of running in. I have carved all day with it without a hitch. That's with Sugi bar and Oregon full feature chain. :) :)
