You can only get 1 ticket a day. Explain to the client that you may get one and that they will need to pay for it if it happens.

It's correct that you can only get one ticket every 24 hours. The problem comes when the bourough you are working in have a tow/lift policy thing going on.

One of my brothers as made a small fortune "lifting" cars.

I'm just over the border near Stoke by nayland but spend a lot of time in Colchester which is when I seem to find all the jobs with yellow lines and no parking anywhere nearby!! Most of my other work is out in the country so I don't have the problem with parking.

Colchester is a real pain! Have you used the visitor parking "things", that you can use in the streets with permit holder parking only? ( no good for the yellow line job, mind.)

I'd seriously write a letter to Bob Russel, Colchesters MP, he's all for the "working man".......Mrs Egg lived in Colchester for nearly twenty year, she had a serious issue with something the council was doing.......It took a LONG time but Mr Russel sorted it.

Done a lot of work in Colchester on double yellows + double parked on some job traffic wardens can be alright most of the time. Have blabed them something about H&S and the it's alright.

The permit parking is normally ok as

Most residents have the visitor permits. The football club side with the new estates is fine as there is ample parking it's jobs in town or the old side which tend to be a pain with no parking or yellows. I have just parked on them and been fine apart from one occasion. It just annoys me

the lack of help some local councils give to small business especially ones like us with large amounts of waste to move
