As there has been so much flack towards me on this matter .......that was to start with just a post about a bit of stupidity. I have given him all his money back and as he is a subbie for me he has also been told not to bother coming in any more.

But as its nearly christmas Im now going to get stick coz he`s been effectively sacked!

so all those people that complained about me taking his wages from him can now thank themselves for making him unemployed.

and as for the fact I named him, so what!!! how many other people do you know called Jason!!??! Whoopie Doo

How old are you?????

I'm pretty sure my daughters of 11 and 12 would make more mature decisions than that :001_rolleyes:

My groundsman is a plonker, i get on at him when he does stupid stuff "for safety's sake" we have our moments, but he does work hard, just not got much common sense. He reversed into draw bar on chipper today and smashed lights on back of van! i went mad for not using his mirrors, but he has gotta learn somewhere i wouldn't dream of making him pay for it, although he will be fixing it in the morning. Accidents happen big or small its just how the cookie crumbles, but its wrong to sack somebody because he dropped a bollock!

Favourite one is throwing logs off the back of the truck and rolling back and smashing lenses, i've had that before

I like to have a good laugh with who works with me

If Simon says he sacked him then Simon must have sacked him.

Maybe Jason thought his boss Simon was playing a game (Simon says)

Either way simon has destroyed his employers trust with his employee which in employment terms is a big no no.

Many employers nowadays are using Internet forums and social sites to monitor employees and plenty have been disciplined and dismissed due to remarks/comments posted.

It also works from the employees position ( constructive dismissal ) due to employers conduct.

But remember folks who's Jason??

Simon has done himself no favours here unless he is courting publicity??

If you have employed him for years and he still hasn't learnt from numerous mistakes that you have listed he must be a very good friend to you and you to him. Generally when I hear of people banging on about how unless their employees are it is also a good reflection of how poor an employer/trainer they are. Afterall when you employ someone new into the industry you become an in house training provider. If you can't see that they have no potential after a while and have had to replace kit due to a low learning curve then get rid imo.

Not a direct pop at you fella. Just a rant in general.

I'm sure that you have had your buttons pushed enough times.

sorry to keep the de rail up..
