just out of curiosity (sorry if that is spelt wrong ) do people prefer to split their logs by axe and bomb or use a log splitter me personally prefer axe keeps you warm especially on cold days and keeps you healthy and find stood in of a splitter bit boring personally how about you lot

I love axeing the smaller stuff into kindling but hire (the agreed...boring but efficient) elec splitter for £15 for a week, usually returning it the same day. Guess it depends how dry/dense the wood is.

Rip with the saw down to a size I lift onto the hydraulic splitter.
