I was looking for a similar sized saw about a year ago and it was between the 372 and 461. I had not used either before and after picking up a 372 in the shop i went for the 461. It just felt like it could stand up to more abuse and IMO felt better to handle.

I now run the 461 on a 20" bar and love it, I rarely use smaller saws than the 461 now as i like it so much! I did have it on a 25" bar and it pulled well. but i have a 660 so anything over the 20" i pick that up.

I think you can put a different exhaust on the 461 to give it a bit more power but haven't really felt it necessary running the 20" bar.

Hope this helps.

576 on a 24 and 20" bar. Just put an 8 pin on it so will let you know how that goes but one thing about the 576 is that is simply the smoothest saw I have. Its a pre autotune, does feel heavy after using the 550 though. Hope this helps
