Bosses are on a vast amount more pay than their employees which does not warrant them going hell for leather if their boss decides he want to "lead by example"

There is nothing heroic about making your team bust their balls in sweltering heat or pissing rain for that matter. It all gets done in the end no need to stress out so much.

I'm not getting into a girly argument.

 

Fact is I'm running about in a Landcruiser Amazon, my groundy isn't!

 

The business pays all my overheads, it doesn't pay my groundies.

 

Leading by example is ok when it comes to getting to work on time, cleaning up after a job, correct work practice.

 

It isn't when it comes to irresponsibly working like a dog in blistering heat encouraging heatstroke / heat exhaustion / dehydration

i love the heay but need to get some re-hydration owder to go in to my watter , any ides anyone ?

 

I use 'diaoralite' or tesco's rehydration powder, peanut butter sarnies,banannas!

spot on Dean your last 3-4 posts capture what i was trying to say exactly. It would be awesome to work with someone with such a balanced opinion on these matters.

Today was real hot and I loved it. Hotter the better for me.

Although today was warm I didn't find it uncomfortable at all, but I was wearing jeans and a light coloured t shirt and there was no direct sunlight.

36C in full sun in the garden I was in, blistering, I melted down to a mess of ginger goo, just a hat and my boots visible. Luckily the client kept me going with loads of ice filled squash, but the jobs a good 'un, just seemed to go on and on forever.
