I think with a careful operator one could land all the debris in next doors garden !no need for stake or blower.I want one on a rubber duck to cut down on transport costs!!jake

No, I think he's saying it will do the same job as a climber, IE destroy the tree from the top down.

 

However, the machine takes up more room than the space needed in which to simply fell the tree, unlike a climber.

Think about it no more grumpy climbers making loads of mess for us to tidy up.job could be done in a few minutes .and no faffing about packing up kit .ideal. Mind you Never let a climber drive it,they will smash every window for miles around and then want their job back....mmmm jake

It did occur to me that two minutes work with one of them would take all day to clear the debris up. Waste of good timber agreed.

Awesome machine but I can imagine maintaining those cutting blades must be a bitch, particularly if you hit a stone.

Its a flail, it doesn't have blades, it is a bit of a blunt instrument with clubs on a beater bar. (think stump grinder) It will take on stones and all kinds of crud if you ask it to.
