stihl ms 201t and ms150

are they any good people say that the 201 has low top end power but i dont know who to believe what is the truth?

I like my 150, nice and light ideal for pruning. You don't know you got it when it's hanging on your harness so light.

A 150 is like a powered silky, but should be only used like a silky, need I say any more

Done many a take down with my 150!! (Obviously not big stuff)

Absolutely love the saw, just make sure you port it.

tried both and have a 201 i find them both good.

 

i agree the 150 is very light and like a powered silky.

 

201 i have not had any problems with mine but i havent tried the husky equivalint *cant remember the number

 

i personally go for a 12" bar on the 201 it can run a 14" but i like to have the extra bit of power available.

 

*please correct if ive quoted wrong sizes on bar length

never tried a 150. Any MS201T i tried on a 14'' bar seemed to perform better than any 201T on a 12'' bar for some reason !

Not sure about UK pricing but you can probably get a 355t and 260t for the cost of a 201t and be way better off
