I use the Fs3protect stihl trousers, don't have the protection pads for them yet but have been impressed with them this year. Quite easy to keep clean at the front and they have a wee stretchy bit in the ball region. they have a clip to attach them at the bottom to your boots but I often just put my husky wellies on. Got those oregon shinguards but used them only a couple of times for some really rough stuff. make your shins sweat pretty bad but better than having shrapnel in them.

my shins are a mess using a small strimmer when i,am doing the gardens for my neighbors etc and dred if i had to use my old echo srm4000 on big stuff i'am at the stage where everyone's asking when i'am wearing shorts" what on earth have you done to your legs etc

If I did this strimming work I'd use an employee. That would save my shins.

Lol!

Hi,

I have an FS85 strimmer with a cord & wear wellies with fairly heavy duty trousers, dont seem to get hot even in summer although fairly acclimatised to heat here.

If I had a brush cutter with a blade then I'd consider boots & chainsaw trousers.
