Any chance of putting metal shutters on with electric motor. You can then pin into ground trough the bottom lip of the shutter. Also have the pins that you put thru the sides of shutter to stop them separating it from the side. Nothing can ever stop the little b******s but if you can slow them down it helps

Infuriating to hear about this sort of thing. I don't know what the maximum sentence for an offence like this would be, but I'm guessing nowhere near enough to account for amount of hassle and upset caused.

Maybe they should take a proceeds of crime approach to it and seize goods from the offenders to account for the gain from the theft? Perhaps if the offenders have their stuff taken off them (and I just don't believe these toe rags are all penniless cases who need the money to survive), rather than some slap on the wrist they might think twice.

Or maybe just use some of the Wile e Coyote-style exploding traps suggested elsewhere in this section of the forum......

They sound organised, determined and unfortunately arb-savvy.

Ian is right, this has been a bad year already, but it always seems to ramp up towards Christmas.

Sorry to hear about this mate, it's shocking.

Anyone buying nicked stuff is as bad as the thieves.

Remember the scum will assume your lock-up will be full of shiny new gear again in a few weeks.
