Years ago I had one who didn't turned up one day, no call, no text. Following day he called me asking why I had not collected him from the meeting point, no mention of his failure to show the previous day :001_huh: I just laughed and said he was no longer required.

I know this will make a few people angry but I don't care...some employers also forget that there is a hell of a lot of firms around these days and there is a lot of work to go do so don't go thinking you are the last resort before the doll office because you would be very much mistaken. This is not aimed at anyone in particular but it has to be said.

TBH, car not starting these days is a pretty poor excuse, especially this time of year.

It is the employees responsibility to get to work on time, car won't start or missed the bus is not really on.

Car not starting/broke down a poor excuse!

Wake up Huck. My old van(05 plate)was serviced regularly what ever the cost. It let me down four weeks on the trot, after going into two different garages at great expense. Mrs Eggs car(60 plate) as just had a new gear box fitted because it was fecked.

Some things you just can't plan for!
