i think 500 is cheap! though it depends on who he wants to buy them....i sometimes try and do things cheap for some folk, as i want them to end up with something i've made and i like that they have asked me. but i can't do that everyday. i think if you compare to alot of hand made furniture makers you wouldn't get much for 500.

as a joiner and crafstsman myself i often find it hard to set a price but i'd tell your dad to put about £1000 on the top one and £500 for the starburst.

wow I'd of never imagined that much, the legs are just standard mortise and tenon with a router'd edge and shamford point on the foot so the don't wobble and would sit very well on a carpet

Amazing craftsmanship like that is worth good money.

Having watched various adverts for oak furniture outlets i would say a bespoke item such as these i would put up in the 600 - 1000 bracket.

I'd sure love to buy something like this as the craftsmanship is beyond my wood working skills at the moment!

to work it out like that the cost would be well over a sensible retail price I think.

I was thinking along the lines of £200

dose that seem fair???

£200 is way too cheap for work of that standard. Pricing is something I am terrible at pricing but £500 minimum would be my gut feeling.

Being realistic it might be over sensible retail but they look like real works of art to me. If you cannot sell that first one for well over £200 I would be amazed. I am not in the market for a coffee table but If I saw that for sale at £200 I would have a serious think for about two seconds then snatch your hand off.
