plus Anyone know where about I can get me some armour pruss?:001_cool:

i worked out in oz for a year and a half or so. did a 6 month stint doing timber extraction in a town about hours drive from sydney. loved every minute of it.

if your looking for interesting sites there are various tree top skywalks dotted around every state, valley of the giants is probably the most well known. the blue mountains in katomba outside of sydney are worth spending a few days hiking round. you will see why they are called the blue mountains as the dense gum trees give off so much oil from their canopy their is a constant foggy haze over the area

cheers chaps,

Wouldn’t’ mind popping to Tazzy if I have the time (only got a month) supposed to be a lot like NZ and it’s also home to the Eucalyptus regnans, some of the tallest tree’s in the world, think the sky walk there ,features in Sherbrookes Tree Sevice’s Video.:001_cool:

I would post it but not sure how:blushing:

Tas is sort of between Oz and NZ; greener than one, less than the other! If you can stay overnight at Cradle Mountain Lodge and see the wild (proper wild) animals come to feed, especially the Devils which scare the pants off everything else.

Mount Wellington behind Hobart has great views; Bicheno on the east coast has an awesome blowhole and make sure you eat fresh cray. I'm drooling at the thought... Wrest Point entertainment complex in Hobart has Oz's first casino and is a great venue for food, drinking, conferences etc.

I don't remember anything special about the trees compared to Oz mainland or NZ though Sherbrooke did find a big 'un.

Enjoy the experience. Oh, when you get off the plane in Darwin the air hits you like you've walked into a wall (I did it in mid-May)!
